ANN MILES' DIGITAL PHOTO ART HIGHLIGHT OF SEASON

The first visit of top prize winning photographer Ann Miles, AFIAP, MPAGB,  from Cambridge, was for many members including  the writer  just sheer  delight and showed just how  an entertaining club evening should be presented.
Using a digital projector and lots of wonderful images she showed just why  her belief that creative photography  is an art form was justified. She did this with a lot of humour, which was included  in some of her photographs.

After illustrating how manipulation of photographs dates back to the earliest days in photographic history she explained how she worked on images in the dark room and camera in days before Photoshop then just how some of her stunning images were polished and  altered in her computer.
This evening was surely the highlight of the first half of the Leigh Camera Club season and will take some bettering in the second half.
After a week's break for half term  the club's next meeting will be on Thursday, November 2. when Gill Adams will judge the first club mono print competition   of the season.
