THINGS ARE SELDOM WHAT THEY SEEM

Camera Club members spilt the beans on Thursday during a fascinating members evening.  The subject was “Digital Manipulation”, and members old and new gave us insights into the way their pictures had been produced.

Not only did we learn how the images were manipulated, but also how they were taken and the risk members had endured to capture the initial result.  Jenni Bowers “The Mask” was a an example of this, risking her personal safety to shoot the sculpture whilst surrounded by drunken youths, and Chris Lawrence using A TRIPOD in London to get two marvellous panoramic images.  Ron Gurry told us how he produced his award winning “Kewb Gardens” and how he removed the Queen Mother from her own favourite portrait and replaced her with his daughter’s friend.

Our newest member gave us an amusing example of how she removed her other half from a picture of a giraffe whilst shooting from the passenger seat of her car.
