ENTERTAINING BERNARD |

Veteran judge Bernard Smith, who adjudicated at the Fourth Colour Print competition, has his own very individual way of judging pictures and can upset some including the ladies but he is always very amusing and entertaining with his jokes and comments.

His performance last Thursday (March 20) had many members including myself in stitches of laughter even if he did not always give us the marks we anticipated. He is pictured with some of the highest scoring prints in the advanced class of a very good if smaller entry of colour prints than seen in earlier rounds of the competition this season.

Next meeting on Thursday (March 27)at 8pm consists of top photographer Eric Soul ARPS, AFIAB, PAGB’s, illustrated lecture South to the Falklands Part 2 for which he uses a digital projector to show his pictures on the large screen. Part 1 included a lot of pictures of sea birds including some unique to the Falklands and so the evening should prove of particular interest to the natural history photographers in the club besides being the chance to see a place most of us are very unlikely to be able to visit. |
