Flickr

Flickr is a public picture sharing site, which allows you to present your work to the world. If this is of interest, look at it on www.flickr.com and see if it offers the protection features you would like.

I use it both as a backup copy of my pictures, and a way of getting a wider audience for my work.  I also use if for sharing private pictures with friends and family.

If you are a BT Internet subscriber, you already have Pro status on Flickr and can upload as many pictures as you like. Non members get a limited amount of space.

A feature of Flickr is the ability to create a badge which can be pasted into web pages.  I have created an example of this for my pages on the Member Web Sites page of this website (look in Members Area). If members feel they would like to have their work presented in this way, send an email to the webmaster for either advice, or just follow the instructions on Flickr for generating the code to produce a badge, and email me the code.  I will then paste it into the system.
